NSW Fiji retain NRC Pasifika Cup in nail-biter against Tama Tonga

nswfijisThe Fijian Drua are back on top of the Australian National Rugby Championship after racking up the biggest score of their debut season so far, to beat Great Sydney Rams by 57 points to 31.

As a curtain raiser to that match, NSW Fiji took on Tama Tonga in the final of the NRC Pasifika Cup and it turned out to be a nail-biting contest, with the Fijians winning the game by just a point, 27-26, to retain the trophy.

The winning coach Ben Bula says it was perhaps a case of overconfidence by his side in the second half which made it so close in the end.
